What is Rizq? Rizq in Arabic or rezeki in Malay is unpredictable. Sometimes, it comes through unknown sources and in varying forms too. Wealth, health, even the greying hair is Rizq from Allah. Some scholars translate Rizq as 'sustenance', 'provision' and some call it 'blessings'.

Rizq is the provision made available to us to use, consume, or dispose of, such as food, transportation, and money. It is different from ownership, which constitutes proprietorship acquired through the means permitted by Islam. The Rizq of a person includes both the halal and haraam provisions at his/her disposal.

In Islam, we are taught about a concept called " rizq ." Rizq is from Allah — one of the beautiful names of Allah ﷻ is Ar-Razzaq; The Provider, The Providence, The Supplier, The Bestower of Sustenance. The One who creates all means of nourishment and subsistence. The One who provides everything that is needed.

The Qur'ān reminds us of His limitless provisions: وَمَا مِن دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا. "And there is no creature on Earth, but that upon Allah is its provision." [1]
